WTOP is reporting that the huge Powerball jackpot won at a Safeway in SE Washington has been claimed. The winner is an 82 year old man who is using the money to set up a charity and educational, and health trusts for his family. Good for you, sir. This guy totally has the right idea and this is totally what I hope I have the wherewithal to do if I ever hit the jackpot. Let's be honest though, I will probably buy a small tropical island or do something epic involving strippers and a slip-and-slide. (Note to self: do not use detergent) Unfortunately for the media, this means he will fade into obscurity since, due to his financial savy, nothing will go horribly wrong
